Senator John Hoeven (R-ND) offered an amendment to H.R. 2028, the Further Continuing and Security Assistance Appropriations Act, 2017, which would prohibit the use of funds for implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency and Army Corps of Engineers’ Clean Water Rule, which protects the small streams and wetlands that feed into the drinking water of 117 million people in the United States.
