The Department of Energy is charged with overseeing the country’s energy, environmental and nuclear policy with a focus on transformative science and technology solutions. As Michigan governor, Granholm led on policies to reduce pollution, accelerate clean energy, and promote environmental justice. Additionally, Granholm’s experience helping to rebuild the American auto industry during the last recession will be invaluable as the Biden-Harris administration works to deliver a 100% clean energy economy.
