2014 Scorecard Vote
Representative Mark Meadows (R-NC) offered an amendment to H.R. 4660, the Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2015, which would prohibit any funds in the bill from being used to negotiate or enter into a trade agreement that includes a limit on carbon pollution. This amendment would limit the administration’s ability to work with other nations to address climate change, which poses a severe threat to our economy, health, and environment. On May 30, the House approved the Meadows amendment by a vote of 226-179 (House roll call vote 267). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE. The Meadows amendment was not included in H.R. 83, the FY 15 spending deal (also referred to as the CRomnibus), which was signed into law by President Obama on December 16.
