2024 Recent Vote
Representative Scott Perry (R-PA) sponsored an amendment to H.R. 8997, the Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025, which would eliminate funding for the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM) Loan Program. This program provides loans to support the domestic manufacturing of advanced clean vehicles and their components. Transportation accounts for over a quarter of our greenhouse gas emissions and is the largest emitter by sector and the ATVM Loan Program is providing critical resources to domestically manufacture cleaner vehicles. Eliminating funding for the ATVM Loan Program would strip the Department of Energy of a key tool to advance U.S. clean transportation manufacturing. On July 23, the House rejected the Perry amendment by a vote of 147-267 (House roll call vote 365). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
