Representative Peter Visclosky (D-IN-1) sponsored H.R. 7617, the Fiscal Year 2021 Minibus II: Energy-Water, Transportation-Housing and Urban Development, Commerce-Justice-Science, Defense, Labor-Health and Human Services-Education, and Financial Services-General Government. In particular, this package of appropriations bills provide significant funding increases for climate, oceans, and coastal science and research, energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, and an additional $3 billion in emergency funding for COVID-related expenses for the Department of Interior, and the Bureau of Reclamation. The bill will also increase funds for the U.S. Census, the U.S. Postal Service, and to safeguard the elections that are essential to our democracy.
