Issue: Other
Representative Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) proposed an amendment to H.R. 6147, the Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which would increase the budget for the Department of the Interior Inspector General's Office by $2.5 million. Coming at a time when the Secretary of the Interior is facing numerous ethical investigations, this amendment would allocate necessary resources to ensure the Department of the Interior is run appropriately and in service to our nation’s lands, waters, and wildlife. On July 18, the House rejected Rep. Grijalva’s amendment by a roll call vote of 190-223 (House roll call vote 342). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
