House Roll Call Vote 318
Issues: Appropriations, Justice & Democracy
Representative Claudia Tenney (R-NY) sponsored an amendment to H.R. 8771, the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2025, which would prohibit funding for Executive Order 14019, relating to Promoting Access to Voting. This executive order is a critical effort to increase nonpartisan voter registration and participation when people interact with government agencies. This amendment would undermine this critical work and thwart common-sense, good-government innovations to better serve eligible voters and our democracy. On June 27, the House approved the Tenney amendment by a vote of 208-202 (House roll call vote 318). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
