2024 Recent Vote
Representative Scott Perry (R-PA) sponsored an amendment to H.R. 8998, the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2025, which would block enforcement of any rules under Section 115 of the Clean Air Act, which relates to cross-border air pollution. This amendment is an attempt to undercut the effective and popular Clean Air Act and block any potential plan to address climate pollution. It would specifically undermine our ability to reduce international air pollution that harms the U.S., such as the cross-border air pollution from Canada in the 1970s and 1980s. On July 24, the House rejected the Perry amendment by a vote of 207-211 (House roll call vote 394). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
