2018 Scorecard Vote
House Appropriations Committee Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) sponsored an amendment to H.R. 695, which would have provided $5.7 billion to construct the environmentally damaging and xenophobic border wall. The border wall threatens communities living along our southern border, has far ranging negative impacts on our lands, wildlife and waterways, and circumvents bedrock environmental laws. This amendment also included a short-term continuing resolution to fund the government through February 8 and emergency disaster relief funding. On December 20, the House approved the Frelinghuysen amendment by a vote of 217-185 (House roll call vote 472). NO IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE. The Senate took no action on this legislation.
