The Senate considered President Biden’s nomination of Jennifer Granholm to serve as secretary of Energy. As Michigan governor, Granholm led on policies to reduce pollution, accelerate clean energy, and promote environmental justice. Additionally, Granholm’s experience helping to rebuild the American auto industry during the last recession will be invaluable as the Biden-Harris administration works to deliver a 100% clean energy economy.
