2016 Voto de la Tarjeta de Evaluaciones
Representative Don Beyer (D-VA) offered an amendment to H.R. 2406, the Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act of 2015, which would strike the bill’s requirement that the Interior and Commerce secretaries consult with state fish and game agencies before restricting fishing in marine national parks and other federally managed waters. Marine national parks, marine sanctuaries, and other federally managed waters are managed for the benefit of all people in the United States and should not be subject to veto power by state agencies. On February 26, the House rejected the Beyer amendment by a vote of 169-236 (House roll call vote 94). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE. H.R. 2406 passed the House on February 26, but the Senate took no action on this legislation.
