2019 Scorecard Vote

Ending Harmful Limits on Government Funding
Senate Roll Call Vote 262
Issues: Clean Air and Clean Water, Other

The Senate considered H.R. 3877, the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2019, which would end the automatic cuts that were set to take effect on defense and domestic spending for fiscal years 2020 and 2021, establish a congressional budget for those two years, and temporarily suspend the debt limit. The Bipartisan Budget Act sets the stage for Congress to invest at levels far above the Trump administration’s harmful budget that threatens our air, water, and children’s health that make our communities thrive, and our public lands and wildlife that depend on them. On July 25, the Senate approved H.R. 3877 by a vote of 67-28 (51 votes were needed for passage; Senate roll call vote 262).  YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
