Investing in Climate-Resilient Infrastructure
House Roll Call Vote 138
Issues: Climate Change, Clean Energy, Transportation, Water, Environmental Justice

Representative Peter DeFazio (D-OR-4) sponsored H.R. 2, the Moving Forward Act, which would invest in our nation’s crumbling infrastructure that is affected by both age and climate change. The current lack of investment and upkeep disproportionately burdens communities of color. H.R. 2 would invest in transportation systems and accessibility, improve affordable clean energy, and work towards improving our water infrastructure. H.R. 2 embraces natural solutions and ensures that our infrastructure investments place workers and communities at the front lines of these solutions. On July 1, the House of Representatives approved H.R. 2 by a vote of 233-188 (House roll call vote 138). YES IS THE PRO-ENVIRONMENT VOTE.
